Malibongwe Elderly Lunch-on Club

About Us

Rooted in ubuntu, we gather elders around a shared table of nourishment, dignity, and belonging.

Our story

Who we are

Malibongwe Community Club, operated by Malibongwe Elderly Lunch-on Club, is a community-rooted non-profit serving senior citizens with dignity, warmth, and daily nourishment. We believe no elder should face hunger or loneliness alone.

Our history

What began as neighbours sharing lunch around a kitchen table has grown into a trusted lunch-on club. Volunteers, local partners, and donors now help us welcome elders each weekday for food, fellowship, and wellness support.

Who we serve

We serve older adults in and around Davel and Mpumalanga—especially those living on limited pensions, living alone, or needing a safe place to share a meal and find belonging.

Mission

To provide nutritious meals, meaningful companionship, and practical support that help elderly people live healthier, more connected lives.

Vision

A South Africa where every elder is fed with care, valued in community, and never left behind.

What guides us

Our values

These commitments shape every meal we serve and every conversation we share.

  • Dignity

Every elder is welcomed with respect, patience, and genuine care.

  • Community

Meals taste better when shared. We build friendships that last beyond lunchtime.

  • Compassion

We listen first, then respond with practical help and open hearts.

  • Stewardship

Donations and time are used carefully so more elders can be reached.
